Jack Janovsky is a Philadelphia-based theatrical designer inspired by the transformative role of technology in storytelling. Working primarily in lighting design, his work aims to shape narrative and visual atmosphere, operating in dialogue with music to create cohesive environments and experiences. He finds meaning in theater’s ability to shift perspective and transform how audiences see the world.
Jack grew up fascinated by electronics and visual art, drawn especially to the investigative aspects of observation and discovery. Looking back, those early interests enveloped him in questions of perspective and perception, shaping how he now explores storytelling in theatrical design.
